About EGR
Deletes.

EGR stands for exhaust gas recirculation. EGR is used in the exhaust system to decrease nitrous oxide emissions by recirculating some of the engine’s fumes back through its cylinders. Unfortunately, there can be some major downsides to this, which can cause some expensive repairs, the most expensive being a clogged intake system. The excess soot not only reduces engine performance, but can result in the need for costly repairs.

Although the EGR valve is used to combat air pollution, it actually reduces engine efficiency. When the EGR valve is installed, to produce the same power, it needs to burn more fuel, whihc in turn leads to more air polution.

Why Have An
EGR Delete.

There are a number of benefits from an EGR delete. The first being, your engine is going to regain a lot of it’s lost power. As stated before, EGR valves limit efficiency and use extra fuel to produce the same power. This moves on to the next point, an EGR delete will also increase your fuel efficiency. Because the engine has to work less to deliver the same amount of power, it will also burn less fuel. Finally, an EGR delete will increase your engines lifespan. As the soot builds up it stresses the system and causes it to wear down at an increased rate.
